Labyrinths of postmodernism: identification of escaping sense

Abstract

The article considers the problem items hampering to disclose of the essence of the postmodernism outlook in the present-day society. Despite the fact that the term postmodernism is widely spread, its conceptual content is vague and situational. In order to identify the essense of the notion of postmodernism its key features and principled fundamentals are being revealed, terminological ambiguities are being exposed, chronological framework of this cultural phenomenon is being revealed, its principled incompleteness and polyvarient feature are considered.
