Social service of religious communities as a response to a challenge of time

Abstract

At the beginning of the XXI century the social service becomes an important objective for religious communities and simultaneously a factor uniting and stabilizing the civil society, promoting inter confessional dialogue. The article [on materials of the conference «Religions in Russia: problems of social service»(Nizny Novgorog, 6-9 October 2010)] analyses the phenomenon of social service of religious studies as an answer to the complex of both the objective and subjective and social and anthropological challenges of our time.
