Law and Justice in Ancient Russian Culture

Abstract

The author believes that the idea of law and justice in ancient Russian culture was formed by the interaction of different cultural and religious traditions. The negative attitude towards law in the Russian culture was explained by the fact that law and justice in it are opposed. Gradually justice began to be perceived as a divine Truth, while the law is understood as the result of human tyranny.
