Abstract

The article analyses the activity of the Department of the Religious Affairs of Foreign Confessions, which was a part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 1832. On the eve of revolutions of the 20-th century the active work on development of the new law regulating of the procedure of organization and activity of religious societies of non-Orthodox confessions was conducted.
