The Eurasian synthesis of cultures and Buddhism

Abstract

The Eurasian phenomenon was almost the only historical and philosophical movement, which turned to the problem of Buddhism on the territory of Russia. No matter how paradoxically it might seem, the problem of Buddhism in Russia was of less importance for the Russian philosophers and culture experts at the turn of XIX-XX centuries. On one more occasion it is worthwhile mentioning the insufficient degree of the Eurasian school doctrine study in the whole number of its aspects. The article also refers to the analysis of the conceptual foundations of the perception of the place and role of Buddhism in the expected Eurasian synthesis of cultures in the course of the historical process in Russia.
