Arranging and staging of antireligious, and canvassing and propaganda work in the Western regions of Belorussia (September 1939 -June 1941)

Abstract

The article is devoted to the arranging and staging of the antireligious propaganda in the Western regions in 1939 - and in June 1941. On the basis of the fresh archive materials the article shows all the directions of the ideological campaign against religious organizations of the Western regions. The author analyses historic, ethnic, cultural and social peculiarities of the regions, where two cultures existed - Orthodox and Catholic ones.
