The Italian case is a good example of how, and to what extent, a society of a religious, namely Roman Catholic, monopoly had been transformed, because of continuous immigration, into a society of an unprecedented and unexpected religious pluralism. The new religious landscape now includes main world religions, which is an absolutely new situation in Italy where Catholicism was deeply rooted in culture and collective memory.Downloads
