В «Сборнике летописей» (Джāми‘ ат-тавāрӣ╟) Рашӣд ад-Дӣна (1249/50- 1318) - разностороннего ученого, врача и влиятельного служащего при дворе ильханов, - составленном с использованием трудов придворного историка Абӯ-л-╒āсима ╒āшāнӣ (ум. после 1323/4), содержится «История Индии» (Тāрū╟ ал-Хинд ва-с-Синд), а в ней - пространный раздел, посвященный Будде и буддизму. Среди арабских источников по буддизму это произведение Рашӣд ад-Дӣна является наиболее обстоятельным. Одна из глав этого раздела представляет собой адаптированную для мусульманского читателя версию известной буддийской сутры, в которой буддийское учение и этические принципы изложены в виде вопросов-загадок небесного существа и ответов на них Будды. В статье предлагается обзор версий этого произведения, бытовавших в средние века в буддийских культурах, сопоставление мусульманского и буддийского прочтения этой сутры, содержащейся в арабской версии «Сборника летописей», а также представлено издание арабского текста, выполненного по единственной сохранившейся рукописи лондонского собрания Khalili MSS 727, и его русский переводСкачивания
