On the issue of the first contact between the Evangelical and Orthodox Churches ( history of Orthodox and Lutheran dialogue)

Abstract

The article deals with the history of the theological dialogue of the orthodox churches with the evangelical churches in Germany from the very start through to the present day. The basic documents "Augsburg Confession" and responses by patriarch Jeremiah II are subjected to analysis.
