By example of Patriarch Nikon the article shows the consequences of usurpation by layman (in particularly secular power) of the sacral one (in part, of the patriarchal power - Church). The genesis is shown as well as interdependence of such vital and sense determining institutions as state and Church, giving birth to cratocratic totalitarianism - anti-popular quasi statehood, self-sufficient owing to the genocide policy, atheist propaganda and quasi religious formbuilding.
