Abstract

The article reveals circumstances and the nature of the fight of the outstanding Church and state figure of Russia -Patriarch Nikon (second half of the XVII c.) for the preservation of ethnic and national picture of the world and traditional lifestyle, based on the principles theo and ecclesio - ocentrism.
