Culture and eschatology: Moscow in XVII century

Abstract

The article is the reception of the monograph by prof. H. Kowalska-Stus “Kultura i eschatoilogia: Moskwa w XVII w.” (Krakyw, 2007). The reforms of the Moscow state in XVI century and the consequences of the Union of Brest resulted in religious discord. Then it turned out that the Russian eschatological Christianity differed from the Latin historical Christianity, and in this connection the Latin influence gave birth to inner cultural crisis.
