Topical problems of the modern Russian religious studies

Abstract

The most important problems of the Russian religious studies, and above all, its theoretical and methodological fundamentals are under review. They are connected with the divine problem, notion of religion, its objectivity and with the new approach to the scientific cognition of religion. The author considers religion a complicated, multi-aspect, multi-layer system, including into itself a lot of multi-faceted elements (from the system forming to derivative). A special attention is drawn to the substantiation of the meaningfulness of the system approach to the cognition of religion and substantiation of the scientific status of religious studies. A problem of the place and role of philosophy of religion in religious studies is also under review.
