On the issue of Simeon of Polotsk presence in cultural space of the town (on conference materials: Simeon of Polotsk: world outlook, social and political literary work)

Abstract

The article presents the results of the scientific conference devoted to the 380-years of Simeon of Polotsk, an outstanding Polish-Lithuanian (Byelorussian) orthodox preacher, scholar-polemicists and theologian, translator and enlightener, organizer of school education and book printing. Also on display is Museum-library devoted to Simeon of Polotsk in the town of Polotsk ( Belarus).
