Abstract

On the basis of historical hagiographical and political and legal sources the article reveals the issue of reciprocal influence of the Russian orthodox Church and the statehood institutions in their formation presenting a novelty for the countrys historiographies. The authors come to the conclusion, that the Russian statehood, its separately taken institutions were formed under the influence of the Orthodoxy doth in essence and in the space significance and the Church was one of the linking institutions of the statehood.
