Abstract

The ancient Russia art of singing as an important component of the Russian traditional signing culture possesses a potential which has not been recognized to the due measure by the most part of our pedagogical and musical community. The study of basic elements of the ancient Russian art of singing, expanding the possibility of penetration into the essence of phenomenon of the Russian traditional singing culture, helps us to acquire important qualities, which are in shortage in the culture of modern times.
