Religious relations under the conditions of hyperurbanization: problems of social analysis

Abstract

He article is devoted to a number of topical problems of analysis of the religious relations. status in the present day megapolis, influence of hyperurbanisation and globalization on the processes, going on in religious sphere of the social being. Various approaches to the studies of the role and place of religion in the present day urbanized society are considered, including postmodernist concepts. The specific features of the religious situation and interconfessional relations in the present day Russian megapolis are revealed; the necessity of their constant monitoring on the part of the state and municipal bodies of powers are substantiated with the aim of preventing conflicts on interreligious background.
