Abstract

The article traces the history of the Orthodox Church of the western ritual in France starting from the moment of its origin through to the present day (1920-ies through to early years of 2000). Complications are considered both in the relations with the Orthodox and Catholic Church of France and the Russian Orthodox Church, and with Local Orthodox Churches. As a result of these relations the status of the French Church has changed repeatedly.
