Sources of theology of the Russian Baptism

Abstract

The article is devoted to the theology of Evangelical Christians-Baptists, the oldest Slavic Protestant movement in Russia. It deals with the sources of the Russian Evangelic Baptist movement, comprising the doctrines shared by all Christians, the Reformation heritage, as well as the Western Baptists', Mennonites' and Molokanes' theological views. The author also pays attention to the Orthodox discourse influence on this country Baptism. Both official doctrines of the Russian Baptists and other aspects of their religious conscience that go beyond the framework of the credos are dealt with.
